General Information

Accommodations

Overnight campers are housed in one of the Georgetown dormitories. Camp staff supervises all campers in the dorm 24 hours a day. Campers must bring their own linens and towels. Campers are assigned TWO PER ROOM - we do not have triple rooms. We will do our best to accept roommate requests, however if a camper does not have a request, we will pair the campers according to age. Please be sure that the roommate you are requesting has also requested you. Please do NOT write “any player from XYZ team.” All dormitories are air conditioned and the main doors are secured with computerized door locks.

Meals

All campers will be provided meals in the Leo O’Donovan Dining Hall on campus or catered in the dormitory. Meals are buffet style, all you can eat. There are numerous food options including vegetarian. Commuters will be responsible for breakfast before camp but lunch and dinner are provided. The first meal provided will be dinner on July 3rd.

Overnight Camp Room / Key Deposit

A $100 key/conference card deposit is required. Checks need to be made payable to Hoya All-Skills Softball Camps AND mailed in with your registration paperwork, postmarked by June 19, 2017. Room/key deposit checks will be returned at check-out, after room inspections are complete. Any damaged or missing items in the dorms or lost keys (conference card that allows access to the dorm) will result in the forfeiture of your room/key deposit.

Parents

Parents are welcome to stay and watch the camp from the stands.

Day Campers / Commuters

Commuters will participate in all aspects of the daily schedule which includes lunch and dinner. Commuters are dropped off and picked up at Cooper Field each day. Commuters are asked to bring a change of clothes each day.

Location

Camp will be held on the beautiful campus of Georgetown University. Facilities that will be utilized on campus include Cooper Field, the batting cages, McDonough Gym and the Thompson Athletic Center. *Cooper Field and our batting cages are turf. Molded cleats, turf or sneakers are preferred.

What You Need To Bring To Camp

  • Enough clothing to cover each day
  • Linens (twin sheets, blanket, pillow)
  • Toiletries and towel
  • Check for $100/key deposit (will be returned at check-out upon return of dorm key)
  • SNEAKERS and Cleats
  • Water Bottle
  • Catchers must bring their own catcher’s gear.
  • All personal softball gear (We recommend labeling your gear in case of being misplaced)
  • Sun block, visor, cap and/or sunglasses
  • Spending money for Hoya Snaxa snack shop (suggest $30 if overnight camp)
  • Snacks (if overnight)
